Openlead finds the companies that match the customer you describe, and the right people at each. This guide takes you from nothing to your first exported list.
Try it without an account
Go to openlead.ai/try, or type your company email or website into the field on the landing page. Openlead reads your site and shows 5 companies that match your ideal customer, before you create an account. A quick human check runs first, and the preview expires after 24 hours. To keep it, verify your email; the preview becomes your first search.
Create your account
Click "Start for free" and enter your work email. There is no password: we email you a six-digit code and a sign-in link, and either one signs you in. The free plan includes 50 companies a month, with no card needed.
Create a workspace
After your first sign-in you set up a workspace: its name and its address (openlead.ai/your-name), a few questions about your company, then your first search. If you signed up with a work email, Openlead suggests your website and workspace address from it. Everything you find lives in this workspace, and team members you invite share it.
Run a search
Describe your ideal customer in plain words, for example "B2B SaaS companies in DACH that sell to HR teams". Or paste a website: Openlead reads it, writes the customer profile for you, and searches for companies like that site's customers.
A search finds up to 25 companies, each with up to 3 relevant people. While it runs, the agent shows its work: what it read, what it searched, what it kept and why. Each fact links to its source.
Every search builds your database. Companies and people you have already found are reused instead of fetched again, so repeat searches get faster and cost less. You can start a search from anywhere with ⌘K.
Review companies and people
Results land in a table: each row a company with its domain, description, location and the people found there. Open a company to see its record: an overview with the source it was read from, the people with their titles and profile links, and every search that found it.
Save what fits to a list. Lists are yours: collect companies or people from any search, across searches, and come back to them any time.
Export
Any list or search exports to CSV: choose one row per person or per company, pick the columns, and download the file or copy the rows as a table to paste into a spreadsheet. ⌘E opens the export from a list in ⌘K.
Plans and billing
The free plan includes 50 companies a month. Paid plans raise that limit; see pricing. Only new companies count against the month: people, and companies your database already knows, are free.
Past the monthly limit, credits take over: one credit is one more company. Credit packs are bought on your billing page and last 12 months. The billing page also shows your plan, what is left this month, and a link to the billing portal for invoices, your card and cancellation.
Connect your AI agent
An MCP server is coming: Claude, Cursor or your own agents will search, save and export in your workspace like you do, with the same monthly allowance. It is not live yet. See the MCP page for what it will do and how the setup will look.
FAQ
Is there a password?
No. Sign-in works with a six-digit code or a link we email you. Codes and links work once, for a short time.
Where does the data come from?
From the public web. Openlead's search reads public pages, company sites and public professional profiles, and keeps every fact with its source.
What does a search cost?
A search counts the new companies it finds against your monthly limit. People at those companies are included, and companies your database already knows are free. Past the limit, one credit is one more company.
Can my team use one workspace?
Yes. Plans include seats; everyone you invite shares the workspace, its searches, its database and its lists.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
On your billing page: change plans there, or open the billing portal to update your card, download invoices or cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Any list or search exports to CSV at any time.
